- This indenture, Made The twenty ninth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and fifty five BETWEEN Elias M. Moyer of Lockport, Niagara County and Louisa his wife of the first part, and Mary Hill, wife of Henry B. Hill of the same place.
Witnesseth, That the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of two thousand two hundred dollars by these presents, do Grant and Convey to the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, ALL that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, lying, and being in the town of Lockport, and being the south part of lot no. fifty seven and north west part of lot no. fifty six - township 14, & range seven (7) of the Holland Land Company's (so-called), beginning in the east line of said lot no. fifty seven at a point 49 chains and two links South of the north east corner thereof, thence west parallel with the north line of said lot and bounding on land conveyed by Wilhem Millink and others to Robert Hawley, 58 chains 24 links - thence south bounding on lots 68 & 67, nineteen chains and ninety one links to a post eight chains and sixty eight links south from the north west corner of said lot number fifty six - thence east parallel with the north line of said lot number fifty six - and eight chains and sixty eight links distant south therefrom 28 chains and ninety five links - thence north parallel with the east line of said lot, at the distance of 29 chains west therefrom eight chains and sixty eight links - thence east along the north line of said lot 29 chains - thence north along the east line of said lot no. fifty seven eleven chains and five links, to the place of beginning - containing eighty nine acres and ninety three hundredths of an acre, be the same more or less.
With the appurtenances, and all the estate, title and interest therein of the said party of the first part. And the said Elias M. Moyer of the first part, doth hereby Covenant and Agree to and with the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, that the premises above conveyed, in the quiet and peaceable profession of the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns, he the said Elias M. Moyer will forever WARRANT AND DEFEND, against all persons whomsoever, lawfully claiming the land or any part thereof, so far only as against encumbrances thereon created by or against him.

to me known as the person described in and who executed the foregoing conveyance, and duly acknowledged the execution thereof. And the said Louisa B. Moyer wife of the said Elias M. Moyer on a private examination by me, apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the said conveyance freely, without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.

I, Elias M. Moyer of the village of Lockport in the County of Niagara and state of New York do hereby certify a certain Indenture of Mortgage bearing date the 16th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six made and executed by Mary Hill and Henry B. Hill to me, the said Elias M. Moyer, on certain lands in the town of Lockport County of Niagara State of New York and recorded in the office of the clerk of the county of Niagara in Liber sixty three of Mortgages page 418 on the fifth day of July 1856 at o'clock M is redeemed, paid off, satisfied and discharged. Dated the 25th day of February 1863.
