      Died April 7, 2005
      CEDAR - Rachel Ann Cate of Cedar passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions Nursing Center. Rachel was born March 22, 1929, in Leland, to Frank and Gertrude Rosman. In 1951 she married Lowell Cate.
      Rachel worked many years as a court clerk, and for some time at AAA.
      She is survived by her husband, Lowell; son, Rosman Cate of Lowell; daughter, Nikki Ann Peterson of Mt. Clemens; and two grandchildren, Brian R. and David R. Cate.
      Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Harriet Petroskey
      A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 1 p.m., at St. Rita-St. Joseph Church in Maple City, with Fr. Larry Sergott officiating.
